The Story of a Country Bumpkin

Final Fantasy VII is the seventh in a series that was only supposed to have one game. FFVII (as it's abbreviated) was a little game that took the world by storm as the first Final Fantasy to reach the PS1(I believe it also had a computer version at one point, or at least a computer based demo). It gained world wide popularity, and has more than 9.5 million copies worldwide as of 2004. So was it that made this game so popular? Because at the time the graphics were godly, now they're just block figures that make you groan in anger and defeat but back in the day they were magic.

What about the company that was the mastermind behind the game? That would be the company now known as Square Enix, although back then it was known as Square Soft. So what are you waiting for? Find out more about the project continuing to shape the JRPG world just as it did in 1997.
